Product Description
The “Blues” MTM Kit, by Matt Sobie
Matt’s cousin, Andrew, had a brief listen to the Blues TM, and was hooked. He wanted more output for his H/T system, so the MTM version was designed.
Preliminary tests show the woofer would work well in a 28L or smaller cabinet, and with a little help from us, a nice 4th order acoustic network was designed.
Not only did they pass the listening tests of Matt, and his Cousin Andrew, but the drivers look pretty sexy as well. The name was inspired by a beer carton sitting nearby the work area.
The full kit comes with everything you need except the cabinet. We are happy to delete, or substitute items. Please note that this kit is sold as a single, as many choose this for a center channel, or purchase 3 units for an LCR

No sooner did we have the design finished than a local home theater installer ordered an LCR system from us. We were able to hear them before he picked them up, and were quite impressed by the upper bass attack. They appear to play well beyond their price category.

This was my first speaker build. Also the first time I’ve soldered. The kit was very easy and straightforward. Cabinet plans were easy to follow and complete.
I bought 3, L-C-R, and they sound amazing. My whole life I’ve had vintage horn speakers but I’ve gotten tired of their size and how dated they looked. I wanted something a bit more normal looking but without a compromise for sound. After hooking these up I was pleasantly surprised at how clear they were. My daughter was watching Moana just yesterday and I walked into the room and was doing something else but was doing a double take after hearing the waves crash around. Wow. These speakers had me mesmerized. It felt like I was at the beach.
I was debating getting these or any number of different speakers from this page and a couple others but I can honestly say I couldn’t be happier with my decision. So happy, that I am now planning on buying another set for rear channels.
