ClarityCap 47uf, Polypropylene Copper Connect 250V.

The Clarity, CSA range is the latest development in capacitor design using “Copper Connect” Technology.

The folks at Clarity have taken the past few years to improve on the MR and ESA lines.  The next step in optimizing the construction was to look at how the lead wires are attached to the capacitor electrodes.  The standard convention is to use a thermal arc spray of tin-zinc which results in thousands of oxidized grain boundaries. (not a good thing).

The solution is to embed a copper lattice at the end of the connection and this reduces the grain boundary crossings at the connection and lowers ESR.

What all this means is the CSA range is going to sound better than previous versions.   The lower 250V keeps the cost down and also keeps the size down to accommodate your precious network board real estate.  The 3% tolerance is not too shabby either and who doesn’t like the “Purple” color.
