Product Description
The Kairos woofer module using the SB Acoustics, SB29NRX75-6 by Jeff Bagby.
If you’ve been reluctant to add a subwoofer and hoped for a traditional 3-way based Continuum system, Jeff has the answer. This woofer add-on was voiced for the Continuum, and it should integrate well with most any 6.5″ based satellite SPL in the 85-86dB range. The Adelphos, Mandolin, are all great candidates.
The SB29NRX75 is not a true subwoofer. This 10″ woofer is highly recommended for 3-way designs, Jeff found the upper-frequency response and SPL ideal as a mate for the Kairos.
Because of the 1st order slopes on the satellites, the crossover is somewhat universal.
Optional – The system can be built as a sealed box (acoustic suspension) or vented (bass reflex). Jeff also modeled the cabinet for the companion, Passive Radiators. You can choose to add the vents or PR’s to your order.
Please read the write-up at the link below. It might help you decide. We are also happy to assemble the crossovers for you if you haven’t perfected your soldering skills.
