SB15SFCR-00, 5×9″ Passive Radiator
The general rule for Passive Radiator uses is to choose a PR that is the next size up from the woofer you are using. That makes it tough to do if you are doing a small bookshelf design and the available PR is larger than any of your cabinet dimensions. Enter the “Race Track” PR design from SB Acoustics. This shape was popularized by Sandy Gross from Definitive Technology and Golden Ear Audio. Now you can begin using this great SB version for your own designs.
This PR features a hard paper cone with rubber surround and has room for adding and removing weights on the back for tuning the enclosure.
See this being used on Revolution SB kits by Jeff Bagby. One featuring the SB15CAC woofer and the other, the Satori, W13P mid-woofer – Revolution Mini.
