SB15SFCR-00, 5×8″ Woofer

Enter the “Race Track” Woofer design from SB Acoustics.   This shape was popularized by Sandy Gross from Definitive Technology and Golden Ear Audio.  Now you can begin using this great SB version for your own designs.   This slim frame design allows you to mount a good size woofer on a narrow baffle.  Another interesting idea is to mount them sideways in multiple arrays.

This Woofer features a hard paper cone with rubber surround and a steel basket.  The response is quite flat and you could make an argument for using it in a two-way design.
