Long hair, wool has been the historic choice for stuffing transmission lines. It has more surface area than Dacron and therefore wool has been touted as the premium stuffing material. Because it is lose fill, it can sag over time if not supported – one of its few drawbacks.
The typical recommendation is 1/2 lbs per cubic foot of cabinet space. It is highly recommended for midrange enclosures also. We are happy to sell in 1/2 pound increments.
