Anyone working with the current crop of AMTs knows there are good ones, and not so good ones. Some of this might be due to the faddishness of high-end audio and the responsiveness of the Far East to create products that provide the flavor of the month. I had the chance to audition this AMT in the Nephila design, and I can confirm that is superb for the price. If you want to hear the effect of high quality boutique crossover components as compared to value-priced ones, the difference will not be subtle – this tweeter is revealing enough to throw small differences into sharp relief, yet its own character is never aggressive or piercing, just smoothly ultra-detailed. This is probably the best AMT coming from China/Taiwan today.
